Deadline for applications 2nd September 2019

The Institute of Ethnology of the CAS invites junior researchers, PhD holders, to apply for a postdoc scholarship funded by the Czech Academy of Sciences. The selection will be a result of a two-staged process. The Institute will select eligible candidates whose materials will be passed on to the Board of the Czech Academy of Sciences, which awards the successful canditates with the scholarship. The date of the start of the contract is 1st January 2020.

In the first stage candidates might be invited for an interview, in the second stage the selection will be made only on the basis of the written materials.

Candidates must have obtained a PhD degree in the past 2 years (before the submitting the application) with the exception of time spent on maternal / parental leave.

Application must contain (in one PDF file):

- Curriculum Vitae and List of publications

- Proof of the PhD degree

- Project title, project proposal including planned deliverables and a rough work plan (together up to 4500 characters incl. spaces), please indicate the preferred length of the contract between 12 and 24 months

- Letter of motivation
