The Conference will bring together individuals or organizations that are helping or have helped Ukrainian Roma refugees. The aim of the conference is to:

  • Provide localised perspectives on aid and assistance available to Ukrainian Roma in receiving countries, offering insights into specific interventions and their outcomes. 
  • Reflect on the treatment of Ukrainian Roma fleeing the war, offering insights into instances of unequal treatment. 
  • Trace similarities and differences in assisting Romani refugees across different countries. 
  • Reflect on the evolving dynamics and their impact on refugee relief and migrant assistance. 
  • Sketch out recommendations for improving support mechanisms and policies in the future. 
  • Foster a collaborative environment for sharing knowledge and strategies among practitioners and researchers. 

Consecutive Czech-English and English-Czech translations will be provided throughout the event.
