RESEARCHER POSITION, part-time (0.5 FTE)

RESEARCH PROJECT

The larger project is funded by the Czech Operační Program Jan Amos Komenský (OP JAK) and this particular Working Group is led by Dr. Stephanie Rudwick. Within this Working Group, researchers will conduct ethnographic research in various locations of Czechia, and possibly also other regions of Central Eastern Europe (CEE).

POSITION

It is a part-time position (0.5 FTE) for 1 year, with the possibility of extending the contract to an additional 2 years (3 years total).

Starting date is the 1st January 2026. We expect the successful candidate to contribute to the research activities and publications of the team but also to proactively design their own research agenda on the topic of Language, Race and Lived Experience of Migration.

ELIGIBILITY  

  • Demonstrated research experience and output following the Ph.D. in anthropology or related disciplines
  • Excellent skills in qualitative methods and ethnography.
  • Proficiency in academic English, Czech language skills advantageous
  • Personal background of migration desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of an international team.
  • High-ranking peer-reviewed publications
  • Ability to present at international conferences and to contribute to communications aimed at the general public (blogposts, website, social media).
  • Readiness to live and work in Prague, Czech Republic
