RESEARCH PROFILE
I was born in 1984 in Lublin, Poland. I am a cultural studies scholar and Ph.D. candidate at the Doctoral School of Humanities at the University of Warsaw, Institute of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology. My research focuses on national and ethnic minorities, multiculturalism, and intercultural relations. My scholarly interests include cultural anthropology, Romani studies, death and memory studies, race and racism, gender studies, and feminism.
My doctoral dissertation, supervised by Professor Agnieszka Kościańska, examines socio-cultural transformations among Roma groups in south-eastern Poland, combining ethnographic fieldwork and interviews to explore how changing social dynamics affect Roma identity, cultural practices, and inter-community relations.
In my research and teaching, I focus on identity, history, and culture of Roma communities, as well as anti-discrimination education, socially marginalized groups, and intersectional identity. Beyond research, I lead educational activities on national and ethnic minorities, intercultural communication, and inclusion, collaborating with museums, NGOs, and public institutions.
I am the president of the Home of the Borderland Foundation and vice-president of the Alumni Association. Between 2009 and 2020, I served as vice-president of the Roma Association “Romano Waśt” in Radom, and from 2017 to 2019 I was head of the Museum of Dialogue of Cultures, a branch of the National Museum in Kielce (Poland)
