The Romani Atlantic project team at the Institute of Ethnology is pleased to announce the programme for the conference “Romani Racialization Beyond Majority-Minority Narratives: Transnationalism, Activism and Solidarity”, taking place May 21–23, 2025, in Prague at Vila Lanna, the Institute of Czech Literature, and CEFRES.
This event brings together critical perspectives on Romani racialization, transnational solidarity, and the intersections of activism, ethnicity, and social justice. Speakers will explore relational approaches to Romani experiences and their connection to broader ethno-racial projects.
The conference is open to the public, but registration is required due to limited capacity.

It is organized by the Institute of Ethnology, Czech Academy of Sciences in collaboration with the Prague Center for Romani Histories at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University; CEU Romani Studies Program and French Research Center in Humanities and Social Sciences (CEFRES, CNRS-MEAE).
