The Institute of Ethnology invites you to a lecture organized together with the Oriental Institute of Czech Academy of Sciences.

Why was Helena Blavatsky, a pioneering figure in modern Western esotericism, fascinated by India, Tibet, Hinduism, and Buddhism? The lecture by Professor Tim Rudbøg (University of Copenhagen) explores how she combined Asian religious ideas with Western esotericism to develop a new occult vision of reality. For her, ancient wisdom served as a key to understanding the hidden laws of the universe, the evolution of human consciousness, and the mysteries of time and space.
