Publication activities of the Institute of Ethnology of the CAS, v. v. i.

The results of the publication activities of the Institute of Ethnology of the CAS are registered in the ASEP database (Automated Publication Evidence System), which is the source of information for the RIV (Register of Information on Research, Experimental Development and Innovation - RDI). ASEP is a system for collecting, processing, storing, and disseminating information on publications and other information outputs of basic and applied research in the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. For selected data (according to the RIV criteria valid for a given year), part of the records is exported to the RIV database every year. Data from this database are also used by the management of the CAS as a basis for internal periodic evaluations of individual academic departments. Since 2012, full texts of documents can be stored with bibliographic records. Since 2018, research data records can also be stored. The records are stored in the system by the researchers themselves via an anonymous user account. The first author (from the academic department) who is listed on the result has the obligation to report the result of the scientific work. The ASEP processor then checks the record and submits it to the IPAC online catalogue

The registration system is determined by the Academic Council Directive No. 4/2013 of 12 March 2013 "Creation and use of the ASEP academic database".

When saving the type of results monograph (book as a whole), chapter in a book, and article in a scholarly journal, it is obligatory to save the information and the file with the license agreement. Recorded by Dana Motyčková, saved by Vendula Novotná.

ASEP analytics

Enables search for individual academic departments, units, and staff and creation of bibliographic, analytical, statistical, and graphical summaries of their publication work.

The list of peer-reviewed non-impacted journals 2015 published in the Czech Republic (if a paper listed in them meets the criteria according to the methodology, it is evaluated in RIV) is available in detail on the website of the RVVI (Council for Research, Development, and Innovation).
