The Inaugural Annual Workshop of the Department of Ecological Anthropology, of the Institute of Ethnology, will be held on Monday, November 15th from 10:00-15:40.
The goal of this workshop is to present the state-of-the-art research questions, field studies, and projects currently being engaged in by the participants, and to productively develop that research through critical exchange. Topics and presenters include:
- “Rewilding a civilized society, or are wolves changing German sensibilities?” by Thorsten Gieser
- “Strict Ontological Continuities”, by Luděk Brož
- “The Importance of Recognizing Difference: Rethinking Central and East European environmentalism”, by Petr Jehlička
- “Tracing Pigs in Transcarpathia: Strategies for entering the field”, by Laura Kuen
- “Economy of Disappearance: Multiple lives of Czech waste”, by Dan Sosna
- “Feral Geographies”, by Kieran O’Mahony
- “The Relations that Bind”, by Paul Keil
